In April we were commissioned by Dan and Stewart to work on the design of their wedding invitations and stationery, for their wedding in August at The Chainstore, London. The brief was to create a suite of wedding stationery that felt unique and reflected them in some way, with a colour palette of navy blue and grey, and a mix of vintage and modern fonts.
After discussing ideas with Dan over email, Kerry produced a series of mood boards for discussion, which included various typographical, layout and monogram options. Dan and Stewart chose to use a monogram which featured a bow tie and necktie (as this is what they would be wearing on the day) on the front of their wedding invitations and a separate wedding date logo on the reverse. These were then also carried through the ‘on the day’ stationery and below are the final results!
Dan and Stewart wanted to provide each guest with their own personalised napkin wrap which displayed their name and meal, wrapped neatly around their napkins finished with a monogram sticker. We also designed for each table, a booklet that contained mini written profiles on each guest. We’re not sure how Dan and Stewart found the time to write a 32 page book in the run up to the wedding, but it was well worth the time and effort, as the booklets were a lovely personal touch.
To welcome the guests, we designed a double sided board to display the order of the day, and a message from Dan and Stewart. This then doubled up as the table plan for the wedding breakfast with all the seating info on the reverse.
It's such a joy to see how everything turned out on the day as we don't often get to see the professional wedding photos. The venue looked stunning and most importantly of all, it looked to be an extremely happy, laughter and love filled day.
Congratulations Dan and Stewart! It's been an absolute pleasure xxx
